We need at least 3-5 people to take this test and be certified, we cannot run the concession stand without one person there at all times who has a certificate from the Muni. Let's share the load and get certified!
We need JV and C Team parents to get this certificate-it's good for three years. This is a funds toward the program and its easy to operate.
The study book is available online at http://www.muni.org/iceimages/healthesd/serving.pdf.
The exam can be taken between 9am and 5pm at the office, located at 825 L. Street, 3rd floor.
Please allow approximately 1 hour to take the exam, so plan to come before 4pm. The cost is only $10.00
I again encourage anyone at all inclined to obtain a Temporary Food Handler Permit to do so. Thanks to Edna Conkel for forwarding the following information regarding online testing for the permit. Between now and December there is no cost for taking the test, and the permit is good for three years.
The website is www.dec.state.ak.us/eh/fss/training/training.html. Select “Food Worker Test Site” and then a choice of language. You may then either prepare for the test or take the test. At some point, you will be asked to register so that the city can create a record for you and mail your permit card. The test may be taken repeatedly if you need a couple of shots at it.
The concession lists look to be nearly filled which is great news. We simply need to ensure that someone with a Temporary Food Handler Permit is on the premises during home games. Thank you all for your help in running the operation.
